It’s October, the official month of Domestic Violence Prevention Awareness and Breast Cancer Awareness, among many worthy causes. These two happen to be near and dear to me because they’ve both impacted me personally. I’m grateful to be a survivor of Domestic Violence, which took place during my previous marriage. And, my mother is a proud 10 year survivor of stage 4 breast cancer.
Throughout this life, we each are gifted with tests and trails that we’d certainly opt out of if given a choice. And, they hold valuable lessons and hidden blessings for us when we allow ourselves to learn from them and permit them to bring us closer to God. Please, allow this to serve as a gentle reminder to faithfully conduct self breast exams as a way to honor the body you are blessed to live in and a way to love yourself from the outside in.Share
